Society for Alternatives to Animal Experiments
(SAAE - India) 9th Annual
Conference
“Ethical and Technology-Driven Alternatives to Animal Experiments”
Dates: 26–28 November 2026
Organized by: School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, CT University, Ludhiana, Punjab, India
About the Conference
The previous conferences were conducted successfully by SAAE - India at various organizations (CSIR-Hyderabad, AMU-Aligarh, University of Kerala-Trivandrum, DPSRU-New Delhi, G.N. Khalsa College-Mumbai and Jamia Hamdard University-New Delhi). It is a proud moment for School of Pharmaceutical sciences, CT University to organize the 9th Annual Conference of SAAE - India which is envisioned as a dynamic platform dedicated to strengthening and advancing the principles of the 3Rs—Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement—by fostering ethical, scientifically robust, and human-relevant alternatives to traditional animal-based research.
Centered on innovation and responsibility, the conference will highlight the rapid evolution of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), including in vitro systems, organ-on-chip technologies, computational modeling, artificial intelligence, and other digital innovations that are reshaping the landscape of biomedical research, toxicology, pharmacology, and life science education.
By bringing together a diverse and interdisciplinary community of researchers, academicians, industry leaders, educators, regulators, and policymakers, the conference aims to encourage meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaborative problem-solving across sectors. Discussions will focus on the scientific validation, regulatory acceptance, and practical implementation of non-animal models, as well as strategies to integrate these approaches into research pipelines, safety assessment frameworks, and educational curricula.
The event will also emphasize capacity building, skill development, and policy alignment to accelerate the adoption of humane, efficient, and predictive research methodologies. Through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, the conference seeks to bridge gaps between science, regulation, and ethics, ultimately supporting the global transition toward more sustainable, innovative, and human-relevant research practices that align with societal expectations and advance both scientific excellence and animal welfare.
Conference Highlights
- Focused on 3Rs: Replacement, Reduction, Refinement in animal research.
